GET TO KNOW

Erica Benisch

Founder of Enliven COllective

After 22 years at Intel, defining complex systems, navigating high-stakes environments, and sustaining performance, I unknowingly reached burnout. I retired early from Intel and as my mind and body slowly relaxed, peeling off the layers of prolonged stress, my heart failed. I had been so busy holding it all together that once I started to relax my heart gave out. I had gone into congestive heart failure, ironically I had my first client practicum from my hospital bed!

I know what it feels like to:

  • Be capable but exhausted
  • Appear high-functioning while internally depleted
  • Push through when your body is asking for regulation

And I know what recovery requires.

I don’t coach burnout from theory. I coach it from lived experience and strategic recovery.
My background in systems architecture means we don’t guess. We assess, recalibrate, and rebuild capacity.

Through structured nervous system regulation, the Health Triangle (nutrition, movement, sleep), and boundary realignment, I help you:

  • Restore steady energy, not adrenaline spikes
  • Improve decision clarity
  • Strengthen emotional regulation
  • Increase sustainable output
  • Prevent repeat burnout cycles

This isn’t about more effort. It’s about regulated performance. When your system is regulated, you don’t need constant rescue sessions. You operate differently. You lead differently. You live differently.
Not because you’ll never feel stress — but because you’ll have the awareness, structure, and internal regulation to navigate it without collapse. Let me be your cautionary tale.

I’ve always loved puzzles. Not just finishing them, but studying the pieces, noticing patterns, seeing how small details connect to the larger picture.

That’s exactly how I coach. When a high-achieving woman comes to me burned out, we don’t treat symptoms in isolation. We step back and look at the full puzzle, energy, sleep, nutrition, boundaries, mindset, stress load.

First, we find the edge pieces, the foundational shifts that create stability.

Then, we chip away strategically at the smaller parts. No overwhelm. No random fixes. No hustle. Just clear sequencing.

Because burnout recovery and sustainable energy isn’t about forcing the final image. It’s about placing the right pieces, in the right order.

And when the puzzle comes together? It’s not just complete. It’s aligned.

Before the fast paced corporate life, I was trained in the United States Air Force as an Air Traffic Controller.

That experience shaped how I think, lead, and support others — especially under pressure.

  • Calm Under Stress: Air traffic control demands clarity when stakes are high. I don’t panic when you’re overwhelmed. I help you stabilize, prioritize, and respond strategically not emotionally.
  • Systems Thinking: In aviation, nothing operates in isolation. Your sleep, nutrition, stress, workload, and boundaries are interconnected systems. I help you see the full sky, not just the turbulence.
  • Precision & Accountability: In the military, vague goals don’t work. We create clear, measurable adjustments not inspirational ideas that fade by Friday.
  • Regulation First, Reaction Last: You cannot make sound decisions in chaos. Military training teaches nervous system control first, action second. That principle carries directly over into burnout recovery.

Leadership Without Drama: I lead with steadiness. No hype. No shame. No pressure. Just disciplined support and forward momentum.

I have always been a helper, from delivering prescriptions at her family’s drugstore and volunteering as a Candy Striper, to leading a Girl Scout Troop and serving her community. Today, as a Health & Wellness Coach and founder of Enliven Collective, she channels that lifelong calling into coaching high-achieving women 35+ who are navigating burnout and exhaustion.

A former Air Force Air Traffic Controller and 22-year Intel leader, I blends structure, strategy, and compassion to help women restore sustainable energy through nutrition, movement, and sleep — my signature Health Triangle approach. I believe helping others starts with self-leadership, strong boundaries, and aligned action.

My mission: Empowering women to stop running on empty and start living on purpose.
